This second attempt at an animated incarnation of Marvel Comic's X-Men became highly popular and was Marvel's longest running show. Professor Xavier's Academy for Gifted Children helps the now movie famed group of mutant superheroes under his tutelage to learn to control their abilities and function in society whilst opposing other villanous mutants who are led by Magneto.
